Please note there are some exceptions to the rules that Doncaster Sambo & Wrestling have decided to enforce on the day, for competitor safety:
Not allowed: No striking with knees to the head, no striking with elbows, no headbutts.
Striking to the head is strictly unacceptable for junior competitors 12 years old and under.
No submission holds will be permitted for junior competitors 12 years old and under.
Adult Weight categories:
Junior Weight Categories:
Juniors are most commonly matched by age first, then weight, however this could change on the day, following weigh ins and registrations for juniors.
Competitor Uniform:
Combat Sambo helmet with the open chin and face area (can be supplied)
Combat Sambo gloves (strike-gripping)
Leg guards (pads) closing the front of the shin and the Sambo shoes lacing.
Mouth guard
Groin protector (hard cup) for men
Chest protector for women
Rashguard or Plain t-shirt for women/juniors
Shorts (Sambo Shorts preferred)
Grappling Jacket (Sambo Kurtka preferred)
Sambo Boots (optional) or bare feet
Rashguards/Spats may be allowed at the discretion of the officials

Information for Spectators:
Spectators attending the event will need to purchase their wristbands upon arrival, from the welcome team on the desk at the main entrance to the venue.
Spectator Adult Entry Fee: £5
Spectator Under 18: £2
Under 5’s are free
Travel information:
For athletes/families/clubs that will be travelling to/from the event and require accommodation, there are plenty of options for hotels within a 1-2 mile radius of the venue.
The venue is also located approximately a 15 minute drive from the M18/A1 corridor.
Doncaster Sambo & Wrestling want to ensure a safe, welcoming, friendly environment for all, at our events.
This is why we operate a strict zero tolerance policy on the use of drugs and/or alcohol on the premises. In addition to this any use of prohibited dangerous techniques by competitors, unethical behaviour and/or misconduct, including the use of threatening, abusive, or violent behaviour, or language (including swearing, shouting, or any form of hate speech and/or actions), displayed by competitors, coaching staff, or spectators, will be immediately instructed to leave the event by the event officials, and the appropriate disciplinary course of action will be taken in accordance with FIAS.
Refund Policy:
Refunds will not be provided. You may change your category up until the final registration date.

Doncaster Sambo & Wrestling are a Mixed Martial Arts club, which offers a range of combat sport disciplines to its members, including Sambo, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Striking, and No Gi BJJ, including Combat Sport Conditioning, and more.
